Notice of Full Road Closure - Launching Area Road and Desmond Road 

Starting Monday, 5/6/2024, The town will reclaim and Pave on the roads mentioned above.  These roads will require full road closures to ensure the safety of our residents. Town DPW employees will be stationed on each side of road closures to reroute traffic appropriately and ensure that safety vehicles are able to get to their final destination if so needed.  Please plan accordingly.

As most residents are aware, 5 inches of rain made its way through Connecticut the weekend of December 9-10. 2023 leaving quite a bit of destruction along its way.  The Town unfortunately needed to close Beebe Road with jersey barriers on December 13, 2023 to ensure the safety of our residents and out of town visitors.  Recent engineered reports show the culvert rotted with beginning signs of failure.  The Town is currently planning a permanent solution to repair Beebe Road.

Please note the Public Works Department is hard at work making this a priority in conjunction with other departments to ensure that the road is repaired and reopened as soon as possible.
