REFERENDUM RESULTS

Moderator Ernie Malavasi declared the polls open at 6:00 a.m. and closed at 8:00 p.m. at the Municipal Office Complex gymnasium on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, with the following question on the ballot:

“Shall the Town of East Haddam budget of $43,841,297, as recommended by the Board of Finance for fiscal year 2026-2027 be approved?

The following was announced:
 

845 voters and 9 tax payers were checked off as having voted in person. 8 voters cast ballots via absentee.  

The Moderator declared the referendum passed at 8:05 pm.

TOWN OF EAST HADDAM 
MAY 5, 2026 
BUDGET REFERENDUM

The Electors of the Town of East Haddam are hereby warned to meet at the gymnasium, Municipal Office Complex, 1 Plains Road, Moodus on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 to cast their vote on the following question:

Shall the Town of East Haddam budget of $43,841,297, as recommended by the Board of Finance for fiscal year 2026–2027 be approved?

Notice is hereby given that the location of the polling place shall be the gymnasium of the Municipal Office Complex, 1 Plains Road, Moodus.

Voting tabulators will be used.  The polls will be opened at six o’clock in the morning (6:00 a.m.) and will remain open until eight o’clock in the evening (8:00 p.m.). Absentee ballots are available at the Town Clerk’s Office.
