REFERENDUM RESULTS

Moderator Ernest Malavasi declared the polls open at 6:00 a.m. and closed at 8:00 p.m. at the Municipal Office Complex gymnasium on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 with the following questions on the ballot:

1.  “Shall the Town of East Haddam appropriate $10,000,000 for road improvements and authorize the issuance of general obligation bonds and notes in the same amount to finance said appropriation?

2.  “Shall the Town of East Haddam appropriate $2,387,750 for road culvert replacement work associated with Beebe Road and AP Gates Road and authorize the issuance of general obligation bonds and notes in the same amount to finance said appropriation?

3.  “Shall the Town of East Haddam appropriate $3,400,000 for the purchase of fire apparatus and authorize the issuance of general obligation bonds and notes in the same amount to finance said appropriation? 

719 voters and 12 taxpayers were checked off as having voted in person. 6 voters cast ballots via absentee.  

The Moderator declared the referendum passed at 8:08 pm.
