The purpose of this meeting is to provide the community with an opportunity to learn about the proposed project and allow an open discussion of any views and comments concerning the proposed improvements. A Question and Answer (Q&A) session will immediately follow the presentation.

The purpose of the project is to address the structural deficiencies of Bridge Nos. 01382, 02703 and 02704. The project involves: (1) the replacement of Bridge No. 01382 (2) the permanent abandonment of Bridge No. 02703, (3) the rehabilitation of Bridge No. 02704 consisting of concrete repairs to the culvert and construction of a naturalized open channel, and (4) the widening of SR 609 to accommodate two 11’ lanes and two 7 ft. shoulders starting from Neptune Avenue and continuing east through the SR 149 intersection to tie into the project limit for State Project No. 0040-0148, south of the intersection.

Right-of-way impacts are anticipated. These impacts include temporary construction easements, partial takes, a drainage right-of-way, and a defined easement.

Construction is anticipated to start spring 2028, depending on funding, right-of-way acquisition, and permits. The estimated construction cost is $12 million with 80 percent Federal funds and 20 percent State funds.
