East Haddam Park and Recreation serves all community members by providing diverse recreational activities. We strive to include all areas of leisure services, activities, classes and programs. If there is a program that you would like to see offered in East Haddam, please feel free to give us a call!
Please use the “Recreational Programs” tab to view all of the current program offerings and new information.
On-line Registration Coming Soon!
If the weather is questionable, participants can call the Recreation Department phone number to hear a recorded message about the status of the planned activities (860-873-5058). Cancellations will be announced on Radio 1080, WTIC-AM, and television Channels 3, 4 and 8. Cancellations will be made at least 2 hours prior to the start of the activity. If school is cancelled (or closes early) for any reason, Park and Recreation activities are automatically cancelled as well.
26 Acts of Kindness
East Haddam Parks and Recreation is honored to announce “East Haddam-26 Acts of Kindness-Are You In?”. Throughout the nation, people are honoring the 26 people that lost their lives in the Sandy Hook school shooting tragedy. Ann Curry, from NBC, started this campaign as a way to create a gentler, kinder nation.
Help us show the world that East Haddam is a community of caring, compassionate people who can make a difference in the world.
Beginning on March 1, 2013, you can register by turning in a “26 Acts of Kindness: East Haddam makes a Promise” registration form. The first 100 people to register will receive a free T-Shirt as East Haddam Parks and Recreation’s Act of Kindness #1.
Return your list of “26 Acts of Kindness” that you performed before July 1st and we will read these Acts of Kindness at the Music on the River Concerts!
