Welcome to the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page.  Below we have tried to answer the most common questions visitors to the Park and Recreation website may have.  If you find that your question is not answered on this page, please email us parkandrec@easthaddam.org or call us at 860-873-5058 during our regular office hours which are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

How do I register for a program?
In order to register for a program, you must submit a completed registration form, and the appropriate fee to the Recreation Office.  Program listings are found in the “Recreational Programs” tab. Registration forms are located in the “Forms” tab. Further registration information is located in the “Registration Information” tab.

How do I know if I am accepted into a program?
You will not receive notification unless there is a problem with your registration (i.e. the program is full). If you would like to call to confirm receipt of your registration, we will be happy to assist you.

I do not live in East Haddam; can I sign up for your programs?
We welcome participants from other towns to join us. East Haddam residents will be given priority, and there may be an extra fee, but in most cases, we will accommodate you. Please see specific class limitations in the “Recreational Programs” tab for more information.

If the weather is bad, how will I be notified if the class is cancelled? 
We will leave a recorded message on the office phone 860-873-5058, if there is a cancellation. We will also try to post the updated information on the TV channels, 3 and 8, and AM 1080 radio station.
