(Snow/rain date is Sun. 3/20)
Host Chef Larry Cacace of La Vita Gustosa and Gelston House, last year’s “People’s Choice Chowder,” bring their best New England clam chowder recipes to compete against other East Haddam entries such as, sausage and corn chowder from Hilltop BBQ & Steakhouse, and shrimp and lobster bisque from the kitchen of Chestelm Health & Rehabilitation Center. The Riverhouse at Goodspeed Station is offering lobster and corn chowder this year, and Pattaconk Bar & Grille is sure to bring an entry that will be in contention for Best Chowder bragging rights, as well.
