Be ready early with pie for Pi Day!
The first known celebration of Pi Day was in 1988 and in 2009, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a non-binding resolution recognizing March 14 as National Pi Day. The number 3.14159....is the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter. Pi is an infinite decimal and is usually represented by the Greek letter 'π'. This year Pi Day lands on 3-14-16 and we at Ray of Light Farm thought it was a great opportunity for a bake sale!
So, celebrate math, support the farm and EAT PIE! Stop by Shagbark Lumber (right down the street from us) or call in a larger order of homemade pies for your office or school!
Sales will begin 10am and continue until Shagbark closes OR until pies run out.
