HEARTSafe Community Event
|Date:||February 14, 2015|
|Time:||10:00 AM - 1:00 PM|
Location: Elementary School Gym
East Haddam Ambulance Association and East Haddam Parks and Recreation are working together to designate East Haddam as a HEARTSafe Community. The concept behind the HEARTSafe program is to encourage the public to be aware of what to do during a cardiac emergency. This program is coordinated through CT Department of Health and the Office of Emergency Medical Services. This initiative helps to increase the number of citizens in our community trained in Hands-only Adult CPR and AED use. Our goal is to have 100 participants! Towns all over Connecticut will be participating in this program on Saturday, February 14th.
During the event EHAA EMTs and American Heart Association CPR instructors will be demonstrating Adult Hands only CPR and demonstrating how to use an AED. All participants will have a chance to practice. This takes 15-20 minutes for groups of three.
The event will be Saturday, February 14th 10am-1pm at the East Haddam Elementary School Gym.
It’s important to tell everyone interested that this event is free. It will only take 15 minutes to teach CPR/AED awareness.
Although not required, we are asking individuals who are interested to RSVP by email firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you have any questions please let us know.
