Music on the River - Bluesberry Jam
|Date:||July 14, 2014|
|Time:||6:30 PM - 8:30 PM|
Location: NATHAN HALE RAY HIGH SCHOOL 15 SCHOOL DRIVE, MOODUS
PLEASE NOTE LOCATION CHANGE DUE TO WEATHER!!
Hypothetically, if you were to create a Bluesberry Jam Band radio station on your Pandora app, you would listen to the following bands: Allman Brothers, The Grateful Dead, Widespread Panic, Government Mule, The Rolling Stones, BB King, and other bands that share their same bluesy, country, and rocky roots. All band members save for two; call Moodus and East Haddam home: Ken Tosi and Matt White on guitars, Pete Govert on bass, with Jeff Bauer and Evan Tosi on drums. Singer Chris Bauer is from Middletown while Cary Burns, our keyboardist, hails from MA. Guest vocalist Sue Rivard, lead singer of Fountainhead, will add her talents. Additionally, Bluesberry is the house band for the annual Moodus Sportsmen’s Club Harvest Fest. Please note that the band will play an original song, "Jimmy River Chubs" - the ONLY song ever written to celebrate the joys of ice fishing on the Moodus Reservoir. You heard it here first!
All concerts are held on Monday nights from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the green of the Goodspeed Opera House. If it rains, the concerts will be moved to the High School Auditorium (please call the Recreation Office for location information if weather is questionable; 860-873-5058). Great food and drinks will be available to purchase at the Gelston House, or you may bring a picnic dinner. Parking is available in the Goodspeed Opera House parking lot, behind the Gelston House. The Music on the River site is made possible through the generous support of Goodspeed Musicals. Please leave all dogs at home.
