Yellow Dot Program
|Date:||June 10, 2013|
|Time:||1:00 PM - 3:00 PM|
Location: East Haddam Senior Center, 15 Great Hillwood Road
The East Haddam Commission on Aging is having a 'Yellow Dot' event to inform and sign up residents. This free service is sponsored by People's Bank and supported by our Emergency Management Services and the Selectmen. The Yellow Dot Program provides the Emergency Responders with a person's identification and vital health information if they are involved in an automobile accident.
Registration requires that residents fill out an information packet containing identification and medical information and a recent photo of themselves. This information is placed in the glove compartments. A yellow dot is placed in the rear window of the car. The yellow dot will alert the First Responders. This program is in over 50 Connecticut towns and adopted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The meeting will be held at the East Haddam Senior Center on 15 Great Hillwood Road on Monday, June 10th at 1 p.m. A representative from People's Bank will explain the program and applications and photos will be available for all who wish to participate.
