BOARD OF ASSESSMENT APPEALS
TOWN OF EAST HADDAM, CONNECTICUT
The East Haddam Board of Assessment Appeals will hold public hearings at the River House on March 11th, 2017 beginning at 9:00 a.m. Taxpayers wishing to appeal their assessments must file a written application postmarked on or before February 20, 2017. Only those persons filing a written application can be heard. Applications may be obtained at the Assessor’s Office, 7 Main Street, East Haddam, CT or on the town website at www.easthaddam.org. Applications are to be returned to the Board of Assessment Appeals, P.O. Box K, East Haddam, CT 06423 or the Assessor’s Office. The written appeal shall include, but is not limited to, the property owner’s name, name and position of the signer, description of the property which is the subject of the appeal, name and mailing address of the party to be sent all correspondence by the board of assessment appeals, reason for the appeal, appellant’s estimate of value, signature of property owner, or duly authorized agent of the property owner, and date of signature. The board shall notify each aggrieved taxpayer who filed a written appeal in the proper form no later than March first of the time and place of the appeal hearing.
